The Original Hoffman Super Safety: Features
Three positions. Safe. Semiautomatic. And, finally, the "fun button." Also called forced reset function. The Super Safety provides three safety positions, allowing you to retain standard semiautomatic fire. Simply press the safety to the third position when you want to test just how much rapid semiauto fire your barrel (and wallet) can take.
Made from heat-treated 4140 steel. We opted for a 4140 steel cam and lever because it balances strength and hardness. This specific version of the Super Safety provides unparalleled reliability. If you can afford the ammo, the Super Safety will "send it" every time.
The original design by Tim Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman is one of the next great figures in firearm design. He developed and extensively tested the Super Safety to ensure its functionality is reliable.
Easy installation. Just swap your existing trigger and safety with the Super Safety and pre-cut trigger provided in this kit.
Trigger & Safety Compatibility
The Hoffman Super Safety replaces your factory safety, and works with mil-spec AR-15 upper and lower receivers (lower receiver requires a low shelf, or no rear shelf). The included trigger is machined to fit the Hoffman Safety cam's three positions, ensuring reliable function in your AR-15. Works with your existing mil-spec hammer, disconnector, springs, pins, and M16 BCG.
Super Safety Installation
- Remove hammer and trigger pins.
- Remove hammer, trigger, and disconnector.
- Uninstall original safety: Un-bolt the pistol grip. Remove safety detent and spring.
- Install the Hoffman safety lever and its new detent. Reuse the safety detent spring.
- Install the new trigger using your original disconnector, trigger pin, and trigger spring.
- Reinstall your hammer with its original hammer pin and hammer spring.
- You're done! Hit the range! (R.I.P. your wallet)
