What's Included

Every gun kit differs in make and model, as do the included parts. Regardless, every kit comes with all parts required to construct a working handgun that's just as safe and reliable as its factory counterpart. All handgun parts are either OEM direct or factory-spec in their construction, material, fit, and finish:

  • 80% frame
  • Barrel
  • Slide
  • Grips (1911)
  • Rod or spring
  • Trigger parts kit
  • Frame parts kit
  • Slide parts kit
  • Magazine
  • Iron sights

Each kit includes the tools -- the finishing jig, bits, cutting tools or end mills, and instructions with measurements -- for fabricating the 80% frame (or 80% fire control unit for the P320). Completing the frame requires only basic hand tools, most often an electric drill, drill press, Dremel, vise, and files or sandpaper. Because each frame is different, the tool requirements are not universal but similar.

Are 80% Handguns Legal?

Yes. If you can legally own a gun in your state, you can legally build a firearm from scratch. Building a gun is allowed under federal law, and you don't need a license (FFL) nor any paperwork or a background check to build a gun. Some states have tried to eliminate this right. States like California require that you undergo a background check and serialize your handgun before you build it. Other states have banned 80% handguns and build kits altogether. Please read our Shipping & Return Policy to determine if we can ship to your state. Orders placed by residents in restricted states cannot be fulfilled and will be canceled, less any restocking fees.

Detailed Instructions & How-To's

Part of this build project will require you to cut and drill metal or polymer parts with power tools. No experience is required, and easy-to-follow instructions are provided for completing each handgun's frame.
