An AR-15 Pistol Kit is an exciting, cost-effective way to custom build your very own AR 15 pistol in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington. While providing a shorter barrel and lighter weight, each pistol kit includes a mil-spec and hyper-accurate barrel made from 4150 CMV steel. Each upper is preassembled so there's no guessing when it comes to gas systems, headspacing, handguards, or those high-torque barrel nuts.
With each kit, you will receive almost every component required to build your pistol from start to finish:
To complete your build, you will need to purchase a forged, billet, or polymer AR-15 80% lower. Fabricating the lower requires basic tools and can be done with one of our AR-15 80% jigs, which include the necessary bits.
Want to legally build a short-barreled rifle? Here's how to convert a pistol into an SBR.
We offer Pistol Kits with both 5.56-chambered upper assemblies and 300 AAC blackout-chambered assemblies. These kits also come with varying handguards to suit your rail attachment preferences. Options include M-Lok, Picatinny, Keymod, and MOE (Magpul Original Equipment) with QD-style attachment points. Included flash hiders were hand-picked for optimal function, performance and field use.
No components included with any AR pistol kit are considered firearms under federal law. The ATF does not recognize the optionally included 80% lower receivers as firearms, either. In most cases, you may purchase a kit and have it shipped directly to you without the need to visit an FFL or conduct a background check.
Some states have banned 80% lowers and certain firearm parts, or have otherwise restricted the sale and ownership of products we sell. So, be sure to check your local and state laws. We can’t ship our products to certain states. Please check our Shipping & Return Policy before placing an order (see restrictions).
