Our AR Pistol Builds represent the easiest, most affordable way to build and own your very own, top-tier pistol for pennies on the dollar. Configurations are available for AR9, AR-15 and 300 Blackout pistols. Our 100%-made-in-the-USA builds feature mil-spec Chromoly or Stainless Steel barrels for MOA accuracy.

What is an AR-15 Pistol?

An AR-15 pistol is like an AR-15 rifle, except unlike a short-barreled rifle (SBR), it doesn't have a buttstock. Instead, AR pistols are either built with only an exposed buffer tube, or they're equipped with something called a pistol stabilizing brace. AR pistols use a barrel shorter than 16", and they can be chambered in different calibers that take advantage of this compact profile. Because of its ability to use a short barrel (7" or less) and because it can cycle without a conventional gas system, the AR9 chambered in 9mm is a popular variant of the AR-15 often built as an AR pistol.

IMPORTANT! Never install a buttstock on an AR-type pistol without first being approved to build a short-barreled rifle.

What's Included?

Regardless of caliber/chamber, each AR Pistol Build we sell includes a fully-built upper with gas system (except 9mm, which requires no gas tube), threaded muzzle with muzzle device, stripped M4-type upper, M-Lok, Keymod, or Picatinny handguard, M16 BCG or 9mm BCG with charging handle, and a lower parts kit with complete buffer system and pistol brace. All uppers feature Picatinny rails and M4 feed ramps.

Building With an 80% Lower

To complete your build, you can (in most states) purchase an 80% lower ,sold separately. You can opt to buy a stripped AR-15 lower receiver, which is considered a firearm under federal law and requires an FFL transfer.
