We've sourced a quality selection of AR-15 handguards so you can easily customize your 80% build, or upgrade your existing AR-15 or LR-308 rifle or pistol! Swapping out your handguard is relatively easy and only requires some basic tools, like an Armorer's Wrench. With the right handguard, you can accurize your rifle to gain better groupings at distance, or swap out your existing attachment system for another setup. We offer handguards in different lengths, made from quality billet aluminum, or configured as "mil-spec" drop-in units for that M4 or M16 clone you're piecing together.
The handguard on your AR-15 can make or break your build. A heavy, bulky unit that digs into your hand's no good. So, we've partnered with some gunsmiths across the country to bring you a selection of ultra-light handguards that weigh just a few ounces. In fact, most (if not all) of our available M-LOK free-float handguards weigh about one pound or less.
They're precision-cut from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with CNC and polished before being coated with a durable Hardcoat Anodized finish. This combination provides light weight and high strength. If you're building a custom upper receiver using one of our stripped units (or if you're simply swapping out your existing handguard) our handguards are guaranteed to match your AR's current hardcoat anodized finish.
We opted for Picatinny and M-LOK assemblies, thanks to their tight and reliable attachment systems. Each rail system affords a high degree of compatibility with virtually all bipods, lights, grips, and other accessories you'll throw on your rifle or pistol while maintaining low weight and a solid connection to the handguard itself.
We reviewed M-LOK and Keymod rail attachment systems in-depth, using publicly available testing conducted by the U.S. Navy. You can read our in-depth guide here, which compares some of the most popular free-float handguards that utilize both attachment systems. Military testing found the M-LOK rail system to be superior in its strength, attachment retention, and ability to withstand extreme force.
To complete your AR's handguard, we've sourced a quality selection of rails and attachment Picatinny sections from Magpul. Whether you need a small aluminum rail for mounting an accessory, or some rail panels for providing a more comfortable grip, we've got you covered. All accessories and rails feature M-LOK fixtures to interface with the free-float units available on this page.
