Full Size Pistol 80% Frame

Full Size Pistol 80% Frame

Building a full-size pistol is an opportunity to customize your new shooter from the ground up. Where retail guns often come with premium price tags for extras - like upgraded triggers, railed slides, lightweight frames, or night sights - choosing an 80% pistol frame may offer some cost savings. Up front, you get to avoid all the hassle, extra taxes, and fees paid to the FFL. Because a full-size 80% frame is not considered a firearm under federal law, it ships directly to you. Of course, we opted for the two platforms most shooters customize: The classic 1911, and the popular GLOCK-compatible frames from polymer80.

Full-Size 1911 Frame Features

The original 1911 sports a heavy steel frame, adding unnecessary bulk. We partnered with Stealth Arms, a leading 1911 parts manufacturer, to bring these 80% aluminum frames that shed 60% of the total weight, dramatically lightening your pistol. Forged from mil-spec 7075-T6 aluminum, these frame blanks are just as strong as a steel unit. Available bead-blasted or matte-black anodized with or without a Picatinny accessory rail, our frame options allow you to customize before you even install your slide or parts kit.

  • 100% forged in the U.S.A.
  • Compatible with retail parts
  • Not considered a firearm
  • 60% lighter than steel frame

Full-Size GLOCK-Compatible Frame Features

Polymer80's full-size 80% frames are also 100% compatible with all retail GLOCK parts. Compatible with the G17, 22, 24, 31, 34, and 35, the full-size poly frame allows you to build virtually any series with factory or aftermarket components. To improve ergonomics, the frame also sports an upgraded grip angle (18 degrees compared to a retail gun's 22 degrees) to afford better comfort and handling. The big bonus is the included jig and tooling, providing all the components required to cut and drill the frame blank for final assembly.
