The AR15 80 Lower is a crucial part of any AR15 build. An AR15 80% lower receiver provides you, the builder, with an opportunity to build a custom AR-15 rifle or pistol from the ground up, including by fabricating the firearm component (the stripped lower receiver) itself.

What is an AR-15 80% Lower?

When it comes to building an AR-15, only the stripped lower receiver is considered the firearm. This is the component you normally purchase from an FFL. An AR-15 80% lower is an unfinished stripped lower receiver that is not considered a firearm under federal law. That means you can purchase it directly, with no FFL, serial number, or paperwork required*. You must then fabricate your unfinished lower to make it a functional firearm. Then you can then assemble your lower into a finished AR-15 by purchasing an upper assembly and lower parts kit, or grab a complete AR build kit.

*State laws vary. Some states require all firearms to be serialized. Some states have banned 80% lowers.

AR15 80 Lowers Work With All AR Parts

There are countless AR-15 parts manufacturers on the market today. Like any stripped lower receiver, a fabricated AR-15 80% lower is compatible with all standard AR parts. They work with standard AR-15 uppers, lower parts kits, buffers and buffer tubes, and all other AR parts and accessories.

Ready to assemble your finished 80% lower? Here's how to install your lower parts kit.

State Laws May Vary

Some states have banned 80% lowers and certain firearm parts, or have otherwise restricted the sale and ownership of products we sell. So, be sure to check your local and state laws. We can’t ship our products to certain states. Please check our Shipping & Return Policy before placing an order (see restrictions).

Your custom AR-15 build awaits you!
